Commuter Benefits help you save money on your daily travels to and from work. By using Commuter Benefits, you can set aside money from your paycheck before taxes to pay for things like public transportation passes and parking fees. This means you get to save money because the amount you set aside is not taxed, so you end up with more money in your pocket. It’s like getting a discount on your daily commute expenses.
You may choose either a transit account, a parking account, or both.

You can enroll in and manage your Commuter Benefits directly through MyChoice Accounts at the Alera Group Benefits Center, online or with the MyChoice® Mobile App.
Additional Details
- After you enroll, you receive a purple MyChoice Accounts debit card. Your contributions are added to your card, which you can use as needed to pay for qualifying expenses.
- You can start or change your contributions at any time throughout the year.
- Unused balances roll over from one month to the next.
- If you leave the company, any unused balance in your transit or parking account is forfeited.
