For added protection against unexpected expenses, Alera Group offers you the option to purchase Critical Illness Insurance through Unum.
Critical Illness Insurance pays a lump-sum cash benefit for diagnosis of a covered critical illness or specified health event.
You can choose Critical Illness Insurance for yourself and your spouse/domestic partner. Children under age 26 are automatically covered at no additional cost as long as the colleague enrolls in coverage. You pay the full cost for coverage through after-tax payroll contributions. You can find your costs when you enroll through the Alera Group Benefits Center.
When you leave Alera Group, you’ll receive information from Unum about continuing your coverage through portability options.
