Your contributions for medical, dental and vision coverage are automatically deducted from your gross pay before Federal Income taxes and Social Security taxes are calculated.*
For other benefits that require colleague contributions (e.g., Voluntary Life Insurance), your costs are taken from your paycheck after taxes.
Your contributions are made on a bi-weekly basis (26 pays per year) or monthly, depending on your assigned pay cycle.
*Contributions for domestic partner coverage are taken on a post-tax basis. Additionally, Alera Group’s contribution toward the cost of coverage for your domestic partner and their otherwise ineligible dependents is considered taxable income to you.
