If you can’t find the information you need here on this site, your next stop should be the Alera Group Benefits Center. It’s where you can find your personalized benefits information — including your specific plan options and costs. It’s also where you enroll in your benefits as a new hire and during Open Enrollment and to update your enrollment elections when you have a qualifying life event (e.g., marriage or birth).
There are three ways to access the Alera Group Benefits Center — online, app and phone.
Alera Group Benefits Center: Online
You can log into your Alera Group Benefits Center account to:
- Enroll in your benefits as a new hire and during Open Enrollment. Be sure to use the MyChoice Recommendation Engine when making your elections (see below).
- Update your benefits enrollment elections within 30 days of a qualifying life event (e.g., marriage or birth/adoption).
- See a summary of your current benefits elections.
- Submit required benefits documentation (e.g., dependent verification and voluntary life insurance evidence of insurability).
- Review and designate your beneficiary(ies).
- Access your commuter benefits.
- Chat with Sofia, your virtual personal benefits assistant (see below).
Alera Group Benefits Center: MyChoice Mobile App
The Alera Group Benefits Center is also available through the MyChoice Mobile App. The app includes all the same functionality as the online Alera Group Benefits Center (see above) and lets you store digital versions of your plan ID cards and share digital copies via email or text message. When you have questions about Alera Group benefits or need help enrolling and want to talk to someone by phone, call the Alera Group Benefits Center at 888-850-1765 Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT.
When you call, a trained Member Advocate will answer your questions directly or put you in touch with someone who can assist.
