- Medical precertification*
*Before you receive certain medical services or procedures, your health plan requires a doctor to confirm that these requested services are considered medically necessary under your plan. This verification process is called “precertification.” In-network precertification requests must be submitted by your physician directly to Accolade (see Provider Services on the back of your medical ID card). If you seek care from out-of-network providers, you are responsible for obtaining the precertification and approval.
