Cancer Support & Genetic Testing

Understanding your genetic makeup can uncover possible health risks — such as an increased likelihood of developing certain cancers — and guide personalized treatment strategies. Genomic Life simplifies the process of determining your cancer risk and provides tailored support if you’re diagnosed with cancer.

The Basics

How It Works

Through Genomic Life, you get access to dedicated resources and medical-grade genetic testing to help you get in front of hereditary conditions and navigate a cancer diagnosis and treatment. A genetic counselor explains your results and recommends actions, if needed. You can enroll as a new hire or during Open Enrollment.

What’s Covered

Genomic Life provides:

  • Genetic tests and services that yield actionable results
  • Genetic counseling
  • Clinical information line

If you’re diagnosed with cancer, you’ll have access to Genomic Life expert cancer navigators, hereditary genetic testing and other services depending on the type and stage of cancer.

Once you enroll, set up your account with Genomic Life.

3

Submit your saliva sample and receive your results.

4

* Dependent children under the age of 18 are not eligible for genetic testing or Precision Cancer support because the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) have recommended against such predictive genetic testing in minors. Dependent children aged 18-26 are also not directly covered under the Program. However, the clinical navigation team will provide compassionate caregiver support, resources, and education for the enrolled Members, Spouse or Domestic Partner if a dependent child has been diagnosed with cancer.
