How It Works

Sword Health offers a fully digital experience with guidance from a licensed physical therapist and support through the Sword Health app. The program is called Sword Thrive, and it can help with a personalized plan for neck, back, shoulder, knee or ankle pain.

What’s Covered

Sword Health is available at no cost to eligible colleagues and dependents (age 13+) enrolled in an Alera Group medical plan with UHC, BCBS, or Surest. No copay or referral is required.

When to Reach Out

Contact Sword Health if:

  • You're dealing with ongoing back, joint, or muscle pain
  • Recovering from an injury or surgery

An Update on Sword Move

Sword Health has discontinued its pain prevention program, Move, and is no longer accepting new enrollments. Move has been replaced by Pulse, a program designed to support heart health, weight management and mobility. Members currently enrolled in Move may continue participating through the end of the calendar year, and Pulse will remain available through the end of 2026. Members should plan to take advantage of the program before it concludes.

Please note that the Sword Thrive (musculoskeletal) and Sword Bloom (pelvic health) programs will continue to be available in 2027 and are not affected by this change.

If you have questions about Move, Pulse or another Sword Health program, contact Sword at 888-492-1860.
